Day 7: Orange, Politics, and More Orange

Orange. The second color of ROYGBIV (oh wait, ROYGBV, RIP Indigo :( ), and one of my favorite colors. For some reason, on this day, January 19th, 201o, I was dominated and eaten alive by this color. By pure coincidence, I picked out an orange shirt, and orange jacket, and an orange Norwegian hat. I almost put on an orange tie, but that would've been overkill, lol.

It was rather entertaining to witness the diverse expressions of the people I passed. Some commented on the severe radiance of my outfit. Others offered me a job as a crosswalk safety-guard. Most people just made an intriguing glance as I walked by. I'm ok with that. Being unique is what I am for ;)

Other than my ridiculously einfach Deutsch Zwei test, nothing much happened today. Well, a lot happened today, but I'm not gonna specify.

However, I will specify something incredible that occured only 30 minutes ago...I actually /induced/ a political argument. I don't know how, but I must have set off a switch in the Democratic Mind of my AP Physics C buddy, and it all snowballed from there. Needless to say, I had no chance in defending the Republican Party from the editor of the school paper and the founder of the Young Moderates club. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to improve my political stance and crush him later...much much later, haha.

Today's music recommendation is an old favorite: "Read My Mind" by the Killers. It's not so much the meaning and lyrics of the song thats important, but its background. It was the first song I heard before I arrived at my old high school on my first day of Freshman year. Since then it has reminded me of the great life I had there and the friends that I dearly miss. Its a really good song to listen to when feeling blue; the optimistic tone soothes the soul and provides a doorway to a brightside.....Mr. Brightside that is ;) (listen to this too if you get the chance). You can find Read My Mind here. For the record, it's my favorite Killers song...ever.

I apologize if my writing is poor in this blog. I'm tired, stressed, and not apt to catching grammatical mistakes today. Hopefully tomorrow's blog (1st week anniversary of YDCoH!!!) will compensate.

G'nights interwebs!!!
