You really can't appreciate nesquik until you abandon it for a month, only to return to gorge down 3 juice-box sizes of the stuff. Not only is it one of the most refreshing beverages on Earth, but also its a gateway down memory lane, back to those ol' elementary school cafeteria lunches. You know, the ones where we took everything on our tray and mixed it together into one appetizing sludge of disgusting goodness. Ah, good times...
But enough about chocolate milk, there are more pressing matters at hand...
Not really, but still, I wanna move on with the blog, so don't stop me or I will kick your dog (metaphorically speaking of course. kicking dogs isn't really my thing)
Today was a pretty average Saturday as far as Saturday's go...except for the fact that I had to wake up at 9:30 to go to the post office. Is it even legal to wake up that early on a Saturday? I wish it wasn't...
Why a trip to the post office you ask? Passports!!! Maybe I'm just weird (haha, me weird? psh), but I'm kinda excited about getting my passport. Traveling has been a hobby of mine for so long, and the thought of flying to far away lands amuses me so much. In addition, having a passport makes one seem more...official. Don't be suprised if I walk up to customs this summer and whip out my passport in FBI fashion...
...I'm totally going to do that :D...
...Other than the trip to the post office (boring beyond belief), I went to see two movies: The Spy Next Door and Fame. Had I been able to control my viewing selections, these two would be somewhere on the bottom of the list. But, thanks to a 12 year old girl and a 9 year old boy, I had to live with these...
The Spy Next Door wasn't that bad considering the fact it was another "yay! happily ever after!" family movie. Jackie Chan actually had some sick moves in some scenes. True, in a lot of those scenes it was easy to tell the fake aspect to his stunts, but all in all a pretty good performance from him. I would have given it a 6.5/10 shiny coffee mugs, but Billy Ray Cyrus was in it..........damn. 4.5/10 shiny coffee mugs.
In case you didn't know, Fame is a remake of a movie made in the 1970's about this Performing Arts magnet school in NYC. Before you vomit, its not like high school musical at all. The teenagers in the movie actually go through crap to achieve their dreams of being whatever they want to be. And, most importantly, they don't randomly break into song (its okay when they do that in Glee, but its horrifying when they do that in HSM). Anyways, the movie featured strong acting and an interesting plot that even I was able to enjoy. 7.5/10 shiny coffee mugs.
And yes, now I will explain the "Large Green Men" section of the title. For the past 2 weeks I've been playing this downloadable game called "I wanna be the guy". If you ever play it, be very very prepared (and even if you are very very prepared, it won't matter, this game will kick your *fill in the blank*). This game is one of the most difficult and strangest games out there. Its like Super Mario Frustration, except /you're/ the one cursing every other word.
Anyway, I'm about halfway through the game and I'm facing the third boss: This very large green man. At first I thought it was the hulk, but then I looked it up and it turns out his name is Zagief...or Zagrief...I don't really know. Either way, he's damn hard to beat :/. Hopefully I can get it over with by the time the weekend's over, but the last boss took me three days to defeat, so I'm not so optimistic.
Don't worry, I'm almost finished blogging. What can I say, its a Saturday. Since when are Saturdays dull and uneventful?
MUSIC CORNER: Today I recommend "In My Place" by Coldplay. I'm sure all of you have heard it before, but why don't you just take a quick break and listen to it again. Don't worry, I'll wait...
...
...
...
Done? refreshing right? I thought so too :D
I also recommend "Breakeven" by The Script. Its a little more popish than what I normally listen to, but there's just something about the sound of the Script that makes me want to listen to their music over and over and over and over (the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go.....never mind that wasn't even funny) again. It should be on youtube, so stop by and take a quick listen.
I think I've covered everything. More to come soon. G'nights interwebs!!!
(and before you comment, yes I know its technically January 17th now, but I started this yesterday and therefore its valid. Have a problem with it? Then write me a poem starting with the word Apple and leave it for me in the comments)

I started reading this post at 11 PM last night. It is now 3:21 AM, in spite of what blogger's fail clock says.
ReplyDeleteI, too, enjoy chocolate milk, in spite of the roundabout ways one's love for chocolate milk must be proclaimed.
It must be locked on pacific time or something.
ReplyDeleteStupid blogspot...
Its fun proclaiming the thick goodness that is chocolate milk, but it depends on who's doing the proclaiming. If Blue October sang a song on Chocolate Milk, I'd be a little cautious...("I put two fingers [in the chocolate milk] to be slow enough....")
THIS USED TO BE MY MILK.
ReplyDeletehaufe, dear, has anyone told you recently that you're magical? having 3 new posts to read at once almost (almost) makes up for being sans internet for a weekend XD
ReplyDeletechocolate milk and coldplay = awesomeness incarnate. (and i laughed at the over the river joke.)
