Day 5: Norwegian Hats Always Win

Its true! I finally found mine today before I left home and I've literally been wearing it ever since. Not only is it comfortable, orange, and supplied with those little fuzzy koosh-like balls (remember koosh balls? ah, gotta love the 90's), but it also hides my short hair. Needless to say, short hair is not my thing >.<. I have never been to a barber shop, and hopefully I won't have to for sometime. If my first barber has a strange english accent, looks like willy wonka, and has a hairdo similar to kenan thompson's, I'm running......far....far.....away.

Yesterday's blog was rather long, so I'll compensate with a short musical blog. Nothing much happened today anyways.

I encountered a series of good songs yesterday that i've been waiting to share all day. The first is "Shiver" by Coldplay. Like "In My Place", I'm almost positive you've already heard it. Guess what? I don't care. Listen to it again. Trust me, it'll bring you 10cc's of pure happiness (this is a metaphor...I really don't recommend injecting yourself with anything. Why would you do that anyways? Since when are needles entertaining.....). You can listen to it here

The second is "Monsoon" by Tokio Hotel. I am aware that the front man of this band looks like a joker out of Alice and Wonderland, but not to worry. This song will provide you with all your Alternative Rock needs. If you've already played it on Guitar Hero IV, you know what I'm talking about. You can listen to it here.

The third is "Fariytale" by Alexander Rybak. It's completely out of my genre of music, and the Belarussian-Norwegian singing it looks like a backstreet boy....not a good sign. However the stylish violin solo's in this song as well as it's irish-folk-like charm compensate for its less-then-par background. Hopefully its Irish enough for you Foggy Dew! (and I promise I'll find a recommendation just for you in the days to come). You can find the winning song to the 2009 Eurovision Contest here.

That's about it. I'm tired, I'm cranky, and unlike you guys, I have school :(.
g'nights interwebs!!!

  1. P.S. Will, that last song could go either really well for you or really bad (we both know some pop music can kill, lol). If its the latter, my apologies. Just consider it a bad MRR choice

  3. backstreet boy/jonas brother; irish/russian...same thing...ish. I'd think russian folk music would be a bit slower and deeper than this, but you're the irishman so I can't really argue with your logic, lol.
