Day 3: Gravy and Chinese Food Don't Mix!

....they don't...at all :P. I'm not sure if this is true with all chinese restaurants, but when I ordered Pork Egg Foo Young for dinner (a dish I had never even heard about until tonight), it came /drenched/ in gravy.

...wtf?

It wasn't a total disaster, I got to trade for some General Tso's Shrimp and Chicken (Best Chinese Food /period/.....besides rice), but it really makes one think about the crazy dishes they serve at Asian restaurants. Duck? Octopus? I mean its creative and all, but who is /actually/ going to eat that in the US? Not me, and certainly not with gravy...

Anyway, please excuse me for a moment while I have a momentary breakdown in sanity:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT ITS FINALLY FREAKIN FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*happy-dances and runs around in circles repeatedly*

*sigh* I've been awaiting this all week. School after-break is just the worst. The semester ends, and with it my sanity. Test after test after test after quiz after paper after test. You get the picture :P

Besides the gravy incident, nothing much happened today, so lets move to the music corner of the blog. The song of the day (a.k.a. what's been stuck in my head since English) is "Title and Registration" by Death Cab for Cutie. The lyrics are kinda silly, but the sound is truly amazing. Listen to it...you'll be glad you did.

Another good song is "Boston" by Augustana. It's a good refresher song, for times when you just need a freaking break. I needed this song a lot today, haha.....

So, this was a pretty short blog, but its been a long day and I'm tired. g'nights interwebs!

  2. Whole new realm of respect for you has opened up, now knowing that you prefer straight rice to "General Tso's Shrimp and Chicken"

  3. Lol actually I do know someone who would eat duck... my calculus teacher. He's actually talked about that in class when we weren't learning. Which is often the case. We only use about 30 min. of class on actual notes.
Needless to say, I love that class.
But why gravy? That's just weird.
