I'm sure you guys are just about ready to kill me for putting off the blog for so long, but I needed a break from writing. I mean, if you had to write something interesting every day for 100 days, wouldn't you run out of steam eventually? Thats pretty much what happened to me, and I took a week off to refuel my writing genius.
But now I'm back! And you'll be happy to know that I've set in stone the commitment to continue this blog all the way to Day 100...no more hiatuses (or hiatusii), and hopefully no more late days. I mean, how can I continue to disappoint my most faithful readers? I know I can't bear that pain any longer, and on that note, let's begin the blog where we left off: Day 25.
I might as well sum up the past week while I'm at it. It was a pretty average week, considering we had snowmeggedon in the Mid-Atlantic (twice), I became evil kneival (sp?) for an hour and accomplished some extreme sledding (video posted on facebook), there was a murder involving an icy snowball and a nose, and an insane guitarist by the name of Lucas stole my Snapple water bottle :P. I'm sure there was more, but I think you get the idea...it was an interesting week....
Considering we're embarking on this YDCoH journey once more, I figured it would be appropriate to provide a little musical refresher. For your entertainment, I've posted every musical recommendation I have made since Day 1...exciting no? And yes, I stole this idea from someone else, but I'm sure he won't mind, its a great idea anyways.
So, here we go....
and number 28 is "Wake Up" by The Arcade Fire. Don't recognize it from the other blog posts? That's because its today's recommendation ;). It was featured in the trailer for "Where The Wild Things Are", one of the best movies, in my opinion, of 2009. Listen to it when you get the chance.
It's time for me to continue sleeping, eating, breathing, etc....so,
G'nights Interwebs!
