Similar to the rest of the school week, Wednesday wasn't all that interesting. However, I did have to take this strange test called IMPACT. It's kinda like the game Brain-Age, except its painfully boring and there isn't any satisfaction of "woo I have a brain age of 21, take that suckas!!!. Why do we have to take this you ask? In case we get a concussion. Considering my so called hardcore athletic nature, I doubt I'll be taking this test again anytime soon....
Oh yeah, my afternoon option! At my boarding school, we have to participate in this two hour program called "Afternoon Option" where we do a sport or participate in some sort of artistic activity. After getting cut from the Outdoor Program (....again), I decided to join the light crew of the Winter Musical. Its actually not as bad as it sounds. I get to fulfill the childhood dream of climbing up on those forbidden catwalks that mom told us not to go on, and I get to mess with bright shiny lights.....did I mention shiny??? Best of all, we usually get done early, which means extra procrastination time to blog to you guys :)
Today's musical recommendation was featured on last weekend's 2010 Grammy Awards. Personally, I think the Grammies are too R&B and rap nowadays, but I was pleased when Dave Matthews Band came up on stage to sing "You and Me". Its a fantastic new song from their new album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King"; one of the nominees for album of the year. Its a fantastic song on the album, but an AMAZING song live. Therefore, I've supplied the link to the live version here.
Damn. I forgot to rant about last night's AMAZING LOST season 6 premier. I guess you'll just have to wait until tomorrow to hear about it. Hey, won't that make Thursday an actual "non-failing" day? Let's hope so.
